Ace on the Case: Secrets@sea invites you to solve a mystery by tracking down ecological clues in an interactive story format. As you click on bubbles, you move forward through the story. Topics woven into the mystery include food webs, bioaccumulations, killer whales, salmon, plankton, salinity, and others. There is a study room where you can click on objects to get more clues. Field Guides are divided by topic and offer additional information.


For Educators

This site uses a cross-curricular approach to encourage students to explore content about marine animals, tides, and the ocean floor. The content is best suited for students in grades 4-7. Online extensions provide opportunities for experiments, classifying, and field trips. The teacher's section includes important facts, learning outcomes, and related topics.
