This interactive activity challenges you with questions about Mercury. The animation begins with an image of a person laying on the ground looking up at a starry sky. The starry sky in this animation is actually made up of star clusters that contain the fact challenges. By moving your mouse across the sky, you will activate blinking boxes associated with clusters of stars. These are buttons that hold questions hidden within the stars. Simply click on the button and try to answer the question that is presented.
You can use this resource in the classroom to help assess student understanding about what you may have covered in a lesson about Mercury. This interactive quiz could be used in conjunction with the Science NetLinks lesson, Mercury, or with some of the educational resources available at the Education and Public Outreach section of the MESSENGER website.
