Digestive System

Introduction

You've been learning about your digestive system. Do one of the activities described on this sheet to help you learn even more.

Activity 1

You should get into groups and cut out parts of the digestive system from colored construction paper as you make your way through the article. On each organ, write a one- to two-sentence description of the organ's purpose. In the end, you will have a recreated digestive system of your own.

Activity 2

Sequence the digestive system "puzzle" your teacher gave to you as you read through the site.

Now write short answers to these questions:

  • Where in the digestive system do nutrients enter the body?

  • What happens to the indigestible parts of food?
