Animals by the Numbers Graphing Activity

Introduction

With this activity, you’ll get some practice graphing some of the information you found in Animals by the Numbers.

Directions

You can find the data you need on your Animals by the Numbers Data Activity student sheet. You’ll use this information to create graphs.

  1. Look at the data you gathered for the Sleeping section on your Animals by the Numbers Data Activity student sheet.
  2. You and your classmates will work with your teacher to help fill out information about the number of hours slept by each animal, including you!
  3. When asked by your teacher, go up to the board and write down the number of hours you sleep.
  4. Once all of the information is filled out, use that information to create a graph. You can use Excel or an online graphing tool.
