Teen Tech Week
Find out how "Libraries Are for Creating" as part of Teen Tech Week, which runs March 4-10.
Teen Tech Week is a national initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association aimed at teens, their parents, educators and other concerned adults. Its purpose is to ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technology. Teen Tech Week encourages teens to take advantage of the technology at libraries for education and recreation, and to recognize that librarians are qualified, trusted professionals who can help them achieve greater digital literacy.
Science NetLinks resources are free to access from any computer, including those at libraries. We recommend you start with some of the interactive tools we point to. They range from periodic tables to astronomy-related resources to information about natural selection and species classification.
Then, if your library offers e-book borrowing, check out some of the AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books. You can also see if your library is part of the Maker movement.
